Message from Head Coach Josh Smith :

The Rackley Hibiscus coaching team are excited to provide a professional high quality swimming program to the local community. My coaching philosophy is Fun, Tough and Fast.

Firstly, fun and enjoyment are the drivers of my programming and coaching style, If swimmers are enjoying what they do training doesn’t become a chore. It becomes a pursuit of personal excellence and development. Secondly Toughness is essential in the achieving your best as a swimmer. Our training design and communications with swimmers aim to instil this quality within athletes in our program. Swimmers who are having fun and are tough will become fast. Fast to me means, as fast as that athlete is capable of swimming according to their individual abilities.

In my coaching experience swimming mimics, the ups and downs of life accurately. It is a great preparation for real world where resilience and perseverance are key ingredients to personal success – Happy swimming,

Josh Smith

Our world class facilities and coaching team are always on hand to offer advice and guidance on all aspects of our program.
