The Rackley Para Performance Program (RP3) is a para-swimming pathway delivered in partnership with Swimming Australia, Rackley Swimming, and the Queensland Academy of Sport. Based at the Parkinson Aquatic Centre and led by Gen 2032 Project Coach Ethan Forge, RP3 provides adapted squad sessions for swimmers with an impairment, supporting progression from recreational swimming into competitive and performance pathways.

The program focuses on three key areas:

The Rackley Para Program has been designed for para-swimmers who hold, or are working toward, Provisional or National classification (S1-S14). Alternative pathways may be recommended where appropriate. Swimmers in the Para Program will train in one of two squads: the Development Squad or the Performance Squad, and this determination will be made by the Para Program Coach.

The Development Squad is a supportive pathway from learn-to-swim into squad training, with small-group coaching for junior para-swimmers with a S1-S14 classification, held before and after school, designed to build confidence, skills, and connection on the journey to high-performance swimming.

The Performance Squad is designed for competitive swimmers targeting State, National, or International competition. Athletes train up to five sessions per week in a focused group environment, following structured training plans that support long-term performance goals. This squad provides a high-performance daily training environment for swimmers committed to progressing toward senior representative teams.

Our Partnership with Swimming Australia and the Queensland Academy of Sport

Rackley Swim Team is proud to partner with Swimming Australia and the Queensland Academy of Sport to provide an alternative competitive pathway for classified swimmers.

The Rackley Para Performance Program (RP3) focuses on developing para-athletes to achieve performance goals within the sport of swimming. Athletes in the RP3 program are training, aiming to make a representative team, and are showing potential to reach this target in the lead-up to the LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Paralympic Games.

Rackley Swim Team has a long-standing record of success in the pool and delivering outstanding results from swimmers across a range of competition levels, and is excited to develop para athletes.
