What an incredible weekend of racing at the RST Toowoomba’s home pool at the Milne Bay Aquatic Centre.
Rackley Swim Team Toowoomba is fast becoming one of the most competitive swimming clubs in the Darling Downs region. After the club’s inception nearly 18 months ago, Coach David Allen was proud to take 35 athletes to the 2026 Regional Championships, nearly triple the number of swimmers compared to the 2025 Regional Championships.
Following the conclusion of the 2026 Championships, RST Toowoomba was ranked first in the Men’s point score, and second overall. This is the result of great training and growth from the Rackley Toowoomba Squad. This is an incredible feat for the RST Toowoomba team and Coach David, who are all based at the Milne Bay Aquatic Centre.
We would like to take a moment to celebrate the group & individual performances of our swimmers who contested the meet. Well done to everyone who participated in the championships – it was a great weekend of fast and exciting racing.
Congratulations to Flynn Loch, who broke TWO Daring Downs Regional Long Course Records in the 50 Butterfly & 50 Breaststroke, and a special congratualtions to Flynn Loch and Ava Nicholls, who are both the 10 & Under Sprint Champions of 2026.
